With a linear design and a black hand-painted finish, the Architect coffee table refers to the epic industrial architecture of the early 20th century. The table is fashioned from birch, finished in black and is created by applying century-old artisan techniques of woodworking. The Architect coffee table is one of Flamant's evergreen pieces. The modern lines of the table's design were inspired by the work of French engineer-architect Gustav Eiffel, known for his Eiffel Tower and many fierce bridges constructed out of iron and steel. For our Architect table we opted for the use of warm and generous wood, while its linear structure reminds of architectural metal constructions. An exceptional demonstration of artisan woodworking our Architect table is constructed through the use of the traditional technique of the mortise and tenan joint, where individual pieces of the table are joint together by hitting a wooden pin into a hole. The pin then expands and ensures a strong and steady fastening. This way of constructing furniture is over a thousand years old and it can still be found in antiques and handmade furniture. The subtle outer visibility of the inserted pin lends character to the construction and makes fora truly timeless item. PRICE AS SHOWN IS THE SUGGESTED RETAIL PRICE AND MAYVARY ACCORDING COUNTRY.
